These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of egypto.shop (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.<\/p>\n

1. Who we are<\/h2>\n

Egypto is a trading name of Egypt Trading Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16730681, registered office at 591a Stockport Road, Longsight, Manchester, M13 0RX, United Kingdom. Contact us at info@egypto.shop or +44 7398 203805.<\/p>\n

2. Our products<\/h2>\n

We sell authentic Egyptian food products (e.g. dates, sweets, biscuits, drinks) and bazaar\/gift items (e.g. papyrus art, home décor) via our Site. Product images are for illustrative purposes; slight variation in colour, pattern, or packaging may occur, particularly for handmade items.<\/p>\n

3. Prices and payment<\/h2>\n

  • All prices on the Site are shown in Pounds Sterling (GBP, £).<\/li>\n
  • Egypto (Egypt Trading Limited) is not currently VAT-registered, as this is our first year of trading. No VAT is added to prices. This clause will be updated if our VAT registration status changes.<\/li>\n
  • We accept payment via the methods shown at checkout (including PayPal). Payment is taken at the time of order.<\/li>\n
  • We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct, but errors can occur. If we discover a pricing error on your order, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price or cancel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    4. Orders and contract formation<\/h2>\n

    Placing an order on the Site is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email confirming dispatch (or otherwise accept your order in writing). We may decline or cancel an order (e.g. stock unavailability, suspected fraud, pricing errors), in which case you will receive a full refund of any amount paid.<\/p>\n

    5. Delivery<\/h2>\n

    • We deliver within the United Kingdom and internationally, where our third-party couriers are able to service the destination. International shipping is not free and is calculated based on destination, weight, and courier rates; costs may be adjusted if third-party courier pricing changes prior to dispatch. Applicable rates are shown at checkout for your delivery address.<\/li>\n
    • Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and on our Shipping & Returns page. These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.<\/li>\n
    • Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Legal title passes once we have received payment in full.<\/li>\n
    • For international orders, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges applied by the destination country. These are not included in our prices or shipping charges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      6. Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)<\/h2>\n

      If you are a UK consumer, you have a legal right to cancel your order and receive a refund within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason (the “cooling-off period”).<\/p>\n

      Exceptions:<\/strong> in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (regulation 28), the right to cancel does not apply to sealed food, drink, or perishable goods (e.g. dates, sweets, biscuits) once unsealed\/opened after delivery, for hygiene and food-safety reasons, or to goods made or personalised to your specification.<\/p>\n

      To cancel, contact info@egypto.shop within 14 days of delivery. You must return the goods within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel, in their original condition where reasonably possible. Unless the goods are faulty or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning them. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.<\/p>\n

      7. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect goods<\/h2>\n

      Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose.<\/p>\n

      As a practical matter, to help us resolve issues quickly: please inspect your order on delivery and report any damage, defects, or incorrect items to info@egypto.shop within 48 hours of delivery<\/strong>, including photos of the item and packaging where possible. This 48-hour reporting window is an operational guideline to speed up claims – it does not limit or override your statutory rights, which may apply for longer periods depending on the nature of the fault.<\/p>\n

      We will offer a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate.<\/p>\n

      8. Returns process<\/h2>\n

      9. Liability<\/h2>\n

      We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.<\/p>\n

      10. Intellectual property<\/h2>\n

      All content on the Site (text, images, logos, product photography) is owned by or licensed to Egypt Trading Limited and may not be copied or reused without our permission.<\/p>\n

      11. Complaints<\/h2>\n

      If you’re unhappy with your order or our service, please contact info@egypto.shop and we will do our best to resolve things.<\/p>\n

      12. Governing law<\/h2>\n

      These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.<\/p>\n

      13. Changes to these Terms<\/h2>\n
